Nintendo made some very odd choices as well. Unless you have a group of friends that you will regularly play this game with, it’s not going to hold your attention long. Sometimes it feels as if this is a $20-30 game with the amount of content that is included. The amount of characters, stages, and modes is extremely limited. It’s pretty clear they intend on adding more content as time goes on, but this makes me wonder - why? Surely this has to do with sales in some way, because it’s the third Mario sports game to do the same thing. This game feels just as bare as the Mario Gold and Mario Tennis games that came out for the Switch. However, the game really struggles with the content. As expected, it’s a bit less entertaining playing against the AI. I had a lot of fun playing with friends, and playing against random opponents online was also fun.
